Couple launch fund to assist veterans
PORTSMOUTH — Renee and Dan Plummer are launching an endowment fund Friday to provide money needed to ensure that returning veterans have access to substance abuse services.“I was just humbled and honored when we were asked to do it,” Renee Plummer said during an interview Thursday. The couple’s two biggest charitable causes are veterans and helping people who are suffering from addiction. “It just worked out perfectly that we could help our veterans that are having some problems.”
